Set at the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation near Weybridge, Brooklands combines racing and flying heritage on one historic site, with Concorde and Vickers/Hawker aircraft that were built here.
Aviation and motorsport on one historic site
Brooklands is unique: the world's first purpose-built motor-racing circuit (1907) and a pioneering aircraft factory in one place. Around 18,600 aircraft of nearly 260 types were built here between 1908 and 1987, so the aviation collection sits right alongside the famous banked track.
Aircraft highlights to look for
- Concorde G-BBDG, centrepiece of the walk-through "Concorde Experience"
- a Vickers Wellington bomber — a design closely tied to Brooklands
- Vickers types including the VC10 and Vanguard
- the Supermarine Swift F.4 prototype (WK198), which set a world air-speed record in 1953
- flyable replicas such as a Sopwith Camel and a Blériot XI

Allow time for both the aircraft and the motoring/track heritage — it's a great mixed day out. Concorde is the star photo; step inside for the cabin, and note how many Vickers and Hawker types were actually built on this very site. Families enjoy the interactive areas as much as the aircraft.
